I've been a Web geek since 1994 and over the years I've realized I need an island in the stream to call home. A central origin point for all the muck I've created in the Google sea -- a Web-based storage facility for mind-transference and a place of my own. Welcome to BrainStream, my home on the Web.
Who am I? Why am I here? Those and other existential ponderings found elsewhere.
Since I am a product of the ADHD generation (sans Ritalin) my brain has a habit of moving at blinding speed. It's not that I can think like a computer or anything; it's just that at any given moment I happen to be thinking about 5 different things at once. You could be talking about how nasty the weather is this winter and I'd ask you if you remember when the movie "Steamboat Willie" came out. This, of course, would generate the "what-the-hell-are-you-talking-about" look which would prompt the following explanation:
"Winter weather is nasty = I wish it were sunny and slightly warmer = I can't wait for summer = Mexico is always warm = I need to look up info about the Disney Cruise we're thinking about = I wonder if they have Disney characters on the boat = Mickey Mouse first appeared in a movie on a boat...I wonder when that movie was made."
The above stream of information is a frequent occurrence and quite normal from what trickles out of my brain. Hence BrainStream. The content on this site will best be explained by the different sections of my bio but I have many intersecting interests. I'm a skillful researcher who often likes to find in depth details of the most minute item that catches my eye. I will post thoughts, gripes, rants, research results, questions and the rest of the flotsam and jetsam that clogs my BrainStream.
